MADE IN DHAKA

captainbagrat

This is Bangladesh, a place filled with a grand culture and rich heritage. It is also the second largest producer of clothing in the world.

More than 4 million workers produce garments for big Australian businesses such as H&M, Zara, Kmart and Target and receive very little in return. The working conditions are extremely poor and many are struggling because of this.

Aswat Ashrin Haque Maisha take to the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh to interview manufacturers and fashionistas while Dion Seis stroll the City of Sydney to ask the big questions and create sustainable clothing awareness.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work; and the traditional custodians of all the lands we visit and work with. We recognise their continuing custodianship of the land, waters and culture; and their sovereignty that has never been ceded. We pay respects to Elders - past, present and emerging.

We work to reconcile our history and forge a different future together.
