NZ ENDS PERIOD POVERTY

captainbagrat

New Zealand is pretty much ahead of the pack on almost any global policy or program. The wonderful and compassionate leader, Jacinta Arden, a female Prime Minister, is padding the way to provide free sanitary products to NZ schools.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Arden said sanitary supplies were not a luxury, but a necessity.

Too many girls were skipping school because they werent able to afford pads and tampons.

By making them freely available, the government is supporting young people to continue learning at school. The initiative will kick start in June 2021!

Let’s end the bloodshed and end period poverty!

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work; and the traditional custodians of all the lands we visit and work with. We recognise their continuing custodianship of the land, waters and culture; and their sovereignty that has never been ceded. We pay respects to Elders - past, present and emerging.

We work to reconcile our history and forge a different future together.
